Coal | Barge Charter

Are you looking for barge charter for coal? Each year, our barges move approximately 120,000 MT of coal to various ports in Malaysia, Thailand and Cambodia.

Coal is a fossil fuel. It is one of the most important source of energy to generate electricity and also for the production of steel and cement. Even though there is cleaner substitute for coal, such as petroleum coke, it is still high in demand due to it being less susceptible to price fluctuations on the world market.

Among some of our barge that has been chartered to carry coal included our 270ft jumbo barge, which had carried coal from Indonesia to Cambodia and Thailand.

Gypsum | Barge Charter

Each year we move approximately 100,000 MT of Gypsum to various ports in Malaysia and Indonesia. We have been offering our barge for charter to transport gypsum for years and can call ourselves as one of the most experienced handler in this region. Among some of our most commonly used barge size for the movement of gypsum include our 280FT barge that is capable to carry up to 6500MT of gypsum per load.

Gypsum is most commonly found together with other minerals such as halite, anhydrite, calcite and dolomite. In this region, similar to feldspar, layered sedimentary deposits are largely found in Southern Thailand. Much of gypsum minerals in Thailand is exported to locations in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Gypsum is essential ingredient in the manufacture of wallboard, cement, plastered board and also as retarder in portland cement.

At the port of loading, gypsum rock is loaded via conveyor or using dump truck. At most discharge ports, discharge is done using tipper truck.

Due to the compact form of gypsum, and sufficient height of sideboard of our barges, the barges are able to be loaded to its maximum dead weight carrying capacity, hence assisting the charterer in maximising the cost of the barge charter.

Feldspar | Barge Charter

Each year our barges move approximately 100,000 MT of feldspar to various ports in Malaysia and Indonesia.

Feldspar is the most abundant group of mineral in the Earth's crust. It has two important properties that make it useful for downstream industries, that is, its alkali and alumina content. This mineral play important role in ceramics and glass industry. It is also important as fillers in paint, plastic, rubber and the adhesive industries. Both feldspar and gypsum is found in abundance in South Thailand.

We have frequently use our 250ft barge to load feldspar to Malaysia.

Petcoke | Barge Charter

Each year, alongside another refining by-product -- sulphur, we move approximately 100,000 MT of petcoke to various ports in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Petroleum coke, or more commonly simply referred to as petcoke, is one of the residue product produced during oil refining. The process to further refine the crude residue into petcoke is known as coking. Petcoke has a variety of uses as an alternative, cost-effective fuel.

In this region, petroleum coke is typically used as a source of carbon for industrial applications, and is a source of fuel for cement kilns and electric power plants.

Sulphur | Barge Charter

Each year, we move approximately 35,000 MT of sulphur to various ports in Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

Sulphur is one of the most abundant element in the earth's crust. It can be mined or recovered from the oil and gas industry. Its most frequent usage is to produce sulphuric acid -- one of the most versatile mineral acid. It is widely used by fertilizer industry and other industries including non-ferrous metals, fibers and even personal care products.

Among some of the barges that we have used to load sulphur include our 240ft barge.

Palm Kernel Shell | Barge Charter

Each year, our barge was chartered to carry 100,000 MT of Palm Kernel Shell to Thailand. Palm kernel shell or popularly known as PKS, serves as an attractive renewable energy fuel due to its abundance in Malaysia, Indonesia and south Thailand. PKS is fibrous material and can be easily handled in bulk form. It is usually shipped in containers (for small quantity) and if in large quantiy, by barge.

Due to the light nature of PKS, it takes good loading skills to maximize the barge size. During transit, there is also chance of cargo loss if it is not properly covered with tarpaulin. As a reputable barge owner in Malaysia, we have the expertise to handle and load PKS using our barges.

Silica Sand | Barge Charter

Silica sand barge charter

Our barge is available for charter to carry silica sand.

There are many usages for sand. Sand, in its purest form, often referred to as silica sand is useful industrial product. Unlike general sand that is used in land reclamation and in construction, silica sand is often used in strict-controlled environment such as in the production of glass. While feldspar is also an important ingredient in the glass industry, the transportation of silica sand using barges is more delicate process due to its strict requirement with regards to contamination.

Spun Piles | Barge Charter

We have the experiences to handle and carry spun piles. Our barge have been chartered to carry spun piles to destinations in Malaysia, Brunei and Indonesia.
